Do we REALLY need to be told this about a hot tap? Surely it should read..WAHEY! Hot Water just where it should be...or WARNING! this tap dispenses acid.

facial attraction | bag lady
Another one of my many 'projects' is found faces. I'm not paranoid but they are EVERYWHERE...I've just ignored them for a while but at the moment I can see faces all around me. I've captured over 120 and you can see them all looking at you in my Facial Attraction set on flickr.
The latest face is on a handbag donated as a raffle prize for a charity draw we had today at work. My colleague, and dare I say friend, Fiona is going to Uganda in 10 days for 2 weeks on a church mission to help at local schools. Luckily I didn't win the bag but didn't win anything. Fiona tells me it's not about the prizes...I thought she knew me better than that ;0) I did try to pay over the odds for a teddy for Tilly (not that she needs any more cuddly toys) but was beaten to it. I'll buy Fiona lots of plugs and pens to take instead. Anyway, that's why their is a ugly handbag above.

little people | that's how many men it takes!
If you haven't already discovered Slinkachu then you need to head over to Little People to find out what I am trying to achieve with this, and haven't managed.
Another inspired Little People creator is big E aka Ian Richardson aka earthfrommybrain on flickr. See Ian's little people here
The little people are all HO gauge models intended for model railways and I've bought way too many of them so expect more in my flickr Pool - Tiny Hats off to Slinkachu

matilda | window shopping
So, long time no see...what have you been up to? how's your family? anyway, developments recently have made me think that maybe my flickr account is fine but I should have somewhere to display my 'work'. I therefore have a resolution to try and put my best (in my very humble opinion) photos here and actually make the effort to write something about them. I will kick start this 'new' venture by posting a photo I didn't take myself.
It might not be the best composed, it might not be taken on one of your fancy new mega-pixel beasts and it might have been taken by a woman old enough to be my Mother-in-Law but it shows perfectly what photography should aim for...capturing the moment. Tilly found it great fun to grab her step and run to the window at Deedee's house at Christmas as Daddy walked past and give him a smacker.
See you soon!

abstract | four candles
Two forks taken in my mini home studio. I love the colour of this photo, adjusted in Lightroom by accident when I was trying to get the white balance right. This was another of my inspired PaD days but I like this image so much it can become my first blog post.
